Glad to be back! I had to do a lot of research on the racing decals on AJ Foyt's 1964 Sheraton Thompson Special race car, and I still have a few more to find!
I added more four more decals, and completed the driver's compartment of AJ Foyt's 1964 Sheraton Thompson Special race car. Go to http://smantzart.blogspot.com/p/gallery.html to view more of my race car illustrations.

I added more decals, text, more driver compartment detail, and began to detail the rims on AJ Foyt's 1964 Sheraton Thompson Special race car illustration.
AJ Foyt's 1964 Sheraton Thompson race car has been on my list to illustrate for quite awhile. I was fortunate enough to see it at a vintage car event last summer at Pocono raceway and was able to take plenty of reference photos.
Here's an update on Johnny Rutherford's 1974 McLaren M16C race car illustration. I modified the background gradient to include the "star" from "Lone Star JR's" helmet.
Beginning an illustration of Johnny Rutherford's 1974 McLaren M16C race car. Not as famous as his "Yellow Submarine," but still an Indy 500 winner nonetheless.
I'm up to the challenge again after finishing the 1967 Eagle of Dan Gurney. Now I've taken on another famous livery: the Yellow Submarine of Helio Castroneves. Originally made famous by Johnny Rutherford, the color scheme was also piloted by Rick Mears.
